Mae Conroy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice. She provides psychotherapy for adults, couples, families and teens. She works with people are experiencing distress that may feel like anger or sadness or anxiety or confusion. She often works with those who have experienced trauma in childhood or throughout the lifespan.

She has provided therapy to people in residential treatment and partial hospitalization program for substance overuse disorders with co-occuring mental health symptoms including post traumatic stress, complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, attention deficit, sexual abuse, troubles with mood and communication.

Mae has worked with first responders and veterans. Working with them and their families is a privilege. Mae was a therapist for three years with incarcerated individuals and recently incarcerated and their spouses. This was complex work of both tragedy and triumph.

With over 20 years of post masters in social work experience, Mae is trained in somatic (body based) practices to further understand the wisdom of the body including somatic experiencing and sensorimotor psychotherapy. She is a yoga teacher (YTT200) trained at Mount Madonna in 2022. She is trained and experienced in multiple modalities including motivational interviewing and short term interventions such as CBT and DBT and CPT.

Mae is most curious about working with the whole person: mind, spirit, psyche and body. She currently prefers, is trained in and supervised in, AEDP and Gestalt therapy. She is inspired by meaning making, symbolic understanding and all the unique ingredients that comprise you.
